Default Diy lowering

Here is some pics of my shackles for the rear, thanks to Teness/t post on lowering. I used 3 in c channel and cut it at 3 1/4 in in length. It is pretty close to the top of the frame, but I think i will clear everything. The cross member on the bottom of the bed is right in that area so it will be close. I dont have a good welder so I tacked them together. I am gonna take them over to a buddies and weld them tonight. If you ever think about rebuilding your springs check on the price of new ones. I spent 75 on bushings, 30 to have them pressed out and then 80 on the plastic rub strips and new bands for the springs. I think it would probably be cheaper to buy new ones. I am wondering how much the axle will rotate when I raise the spring up that high. I will probably have to relocate brackets on axle for the springs or shim them somehow.
