yeah i wish i could do it this weekend but i work :(.... im thinkin during next week sometime maybe tuesday into wednesday if need be...:idunno:

the install should be interesting lol... but me and my buddy are pretty good with that stuff... just gunna need a 6 pack and time:drinking:...

Well... the lift wheels and tires are installed... and i could not be happier!!!!
my girlfriends cousin and i started it all on sunday night at about 6 until 10... then started yesterday morning at about 9, put the truck back on the ground for good at about 4... a total of 11 hours install time. (includes 2 trips to napa)
i tried to take some progress pics and pics of each step but we were in the zone so i snapped as many as i could.. they are off my cell so there not the greatest pics and the pics DO NOT come close to doing it justice...

not i still have a lot to do to truck but.. i figured ill post this seprate and yall can just fallow along as i continue...

here she is the day after i bought (and washed) her from my step dad..

First you need to order and recieve the goodies....;)
then get the wheels and tires mounted and balanced!!!
and finally lay everything out before install....

then start the cussing, swearing, sweating, and yes bleeding lol... :bonk:

first you need pull in the barn/shop/gym and take old crap off lol
then start rear end because front end hubs needed to be pressed out of spindles by napa ( we had a press but didnt wanna break anything)..
then find out you have one bad hub... needless to say rear was wayyyyyy easier lol...
so these are just a few of rear install and rear finished
yesyes i know i need to fix the dent.. thats in the future...

then you wake up the next morning and start the front end...:eek:
this took all of 7 hours because every god darn nut and bolt was seezed on and needed every bit of strength to get em off...the only pics i got were stock front end, one of the spindle comparison, cross member install and one of my bad hub :(...

AND FINALLY 11 hours later it was all worth it...
i think it looks perfect.. not too high but higher than i thought it would be.. it rides way nicer than it did.. a little bouncy but nice.
i still have to take that god aweful trim crap off and it will look even better and bigger... that crap adds about 4 inch lowering effect where the running boards are...
my buddy is 5'10" and hes standing behind it in last pic... these dont do it justice..

very happy with rough country they were helpful and it came in 3 business days.. and have to mention 4wheelparts .com because they got free shipping on all wheels and lowest price i could find...
and my dads buddy for giving me his half used tires...

been calling around today to get my two front windows tinted.. i never knew how frickin expensive it was... called 3 places, got told $75,80, and 85.... yikes! lol

Legal tint just changed recently so it wouldn't hurt to ask a local inspector what legal is now and what they are hearing its going to be before you get it done. My wife's car just barely passed this year when it was not even close last year. BTW I'm glad to year you say you wanted to take those running boards off, didn't want to say anything in case you liked them but that truck will look bad ass with them gone. :thumbsup:

recent mods include
-took trim garbage off, looks sooo much better
-debadged
-all new lights
-2 12" subs under rrear seat

after xmas i plan to...
-install recon smoked black cab lights
-tint fronts
-smoke tails
-bull bar w/ lights

Hopefully ill be on here more inbetween this and HCS for my sled :D
